Actual Conversations from my house 12.23.11

Bill: When Matthew falls asleep tonight, we should shave off his eyebrows.
me: (Gasp!) No!! (pause) We should shave off only one.
Both of us: YES!!!

(later)
me: we should shave one eyebrow off, then draw it back in with a Sharpie.  Make it have a really high arch.  So it will look like he is always inquisitive.
Bill & me: *Giggling*
Matthew:  I hate you both.

February goodness

First on my list.  Procrastination!  It's March first.  I'm on February goodness.  Procrastination is my middle name.  I own it.

1.  But really, first on my list is Costa Rica!  My date has been set!  Hurray!  With the help of a friend who lives in CR  who I have yet to meet and his wife, they were able to set me up with a Surgeon and arrange my surgery date!  May 26th!  I fly into CR on the 23rd, meet my Dr on the 24th, pre op tests on the 25th and surgery on the 26th. They mean business there.  After 2.5 years of chronic pain and just plain suck.. I see the end to this portion of my journey.  Rocketing my more towards center.  I feel it with every passing day.  May can't get here soon enough!  I have my bellydance community, my friends and family to thank for this incredible gift!

2. I-65 S Windmill Farm in IN.  I heart you!  It's a 10 mile stretch of these gentle, clean, enviro green giants.  They make me smile when I drive through them during the day.  Their massive arms strong in motion.  My happiness swells from the inside out.  They make me smile when I drive through them in the dead of night.  Red beacons flashing on and off intermittently.  Having me first question if I am hallucinating because it is 2 am.  realizing it's their night call.  I love you windmills!

3. American Idol  season 10.  I don't usually watch this show.  I may have seen 2 seasons in the past. I got sucked into this season.  I don't know why.  But the talent is stupendous this year! I'm totally hooked.

4. With that being said, my new Rockstar boyfriend is Paul McDonald from AI season 10.  He just doesn't know it yet. His band, The Grand Magnolias is delicious!  Favorite song right now being "Sing Out" off their newest album. I have a lot of AI favorites.  All of them different and unique in their own way.

5. Chobani Greek Yogurt.  Smooth and creamy, twice the protein, good for you!

6. Being featured in etsy's newsletter.  That rocked.  Sales were tremendous.  Yay for Calico Garden!

The Power of Kindness

My FB status says:
"The power of kindness in all the gentle souls around me has overwhelmed me. My heart literally aches with love."
I was writing out thank you emails to all those kind souls who have donated their time, dance, money, raffle items over the past 3 benefits in order to help me reach my surgery goal.  I quickly realized how amazing it was to have to spend 2 hours on such a task because I had so many people to thank.  I posted on FB current total is $8,400 and I was so close to reaching my goal.  I then get an email from an incredible person across the seas whom I have never in my life met.  They tell me that they want to donate $1000.00 to my funds.  They asked that I not mention their donation on FB.  They will be an anonymous donor.
I was without words.  I was in tears.  A person who I have never laid eyes on, a person who doesn't know me, was showering me with kindness.  I am surrounded by so many extraordinary people.  My head reels from the sheer awesomeness of this all.  My heart..truly, literally, ached.  Ached with love and appreciation and awe.
